“Photography is a love affair with life.”  – Burk Uzzle

I launched Ashley Olson Photography in 2009. My dream was, is, and continues to be to preserve those moments in your story. Those moments that make your heart stop, make your heart skip a beat, and bring a true genuine smile to your face; the moments that make your heart sing. Here on my site and my blog, I will share these moments that others have entrusted me to provide for them.

You can look forward to seeing tips and tricks for sessions, pointers for using your own camera, tidbits about yours truly, and as always, sessions accompanied with my client’s stories. I fall in love with the details of each person I am lucky enough to photograph.

Now, I’d like for you to meet your photographer:

My true love for photography hit when my husband gave me my first DSLR. That was pretty much it. I couldn’t get enough! I’ve always loved surrounding myself in nature and being outdoors and this translates heavily into my photography. I initially specialized in wedding photography but after the addition of our little girl to our family, I have made the leap to primarily photographing children, families and couples. We live the military life so things stay exciting and I get to have mini re-launches every few years. Having these exciting, and big, changes have been monumental in how I have evolved as a person and as a photographer. It just so happens that I have a serious love for travel in my heart of hearts. I find the moves to be exciting and a lot of fun. Exploring new areas and checking out the local coffee shops has always been a priority when visiting new places. I like to wash down my love affair with donuts with a strong cup of local brew. We also make it a point to check out any outdoor activities that we can. There is nothing like waking up in the middle of nowhere, or hiking to a place that has barely been touched by the modern world. I’m also just as happy to curl up on the couch with my family, the pup, and Netflix or a good book. There is just a little snippet about myself. I can’t wait to learn about what you love!

I’d really love to meet with you and get to know you! Let’s chat about your vision for preserving these important memories that are passed from one second to the next. You can sign up for my quarterly email newsletter and connect with us on Facebook and Instagram for frequent updates. Of course, feel free to fill out the contact form or give me a call!
